12th International
Metalworking Technologies Exhibition - TATEF 2009
opened its doors at CNR Expo Istanbul with the
participation of executives of TIAD (Machine Tools
Businessmen’ Association) of KOSGEB (Small and
Medium Industry Development Organization) and MIB
(Association of Machinery Manufacturers).
Machines reducing the inventory costs, lowering
production cost and providing high efficiency in
short term were exhibited at the show where there
were be 98 international and 302 domestic exhibiting
companies in 5 halls at an area of 50.000 sqm.
It is stated that regardless of the global
economic crisis, TATEF was completed successfully in
terms of its exhibitors and visitors as a result of
machine demand arouse with the capacity increase
especially in automotive and white goods sector; and
of the revival of production industry with the
decrease of ÖTV (Private Consumption Tax)
Organizers mentioned that the reason of this
increase in interest is the precaution of investors
for the period after crisis not to be caught out. It
is also highlighted that among the reasons behind
the increase in interest is the shift of fair
business from West to East and thus Istanbul gaining
more importance and Turkey preference of
international buying groups’ as the country among
CECIMO countries with the highest machine tools
sales capacity.
Germany,
Spain and Taiwan; the leading countries of the
sector exhibited with a wide range of products at
the show which continued till April 05 along with
China, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, The UK,
Czech Republic, Korea, Denmark, Poland, India and
Greece. TATEF hosted a total number of 35.927
professional visitors, 2.548 of which were
international visitors including countries Syria,
Iran, Iraq, Israel, UAE and Dubai.
The 13th
International Metalworking Technologies Exhibition-
TATEF 2010 is to be organized on October 12-17 2010
in 8 halls at Istanbul CNR Expo Center. The expected
exhibitor number for 13th TATEF is 600 while the
target visitor number is 70.000.
